Two players, two hidden boards. On each turn one player calls a number, and it is marked on every board. Each player calls what builds their own lines. Who finishes five first?

The rules

  1. 1

    Arrange your board

    Place the numbers 1 to 25 on your 5×5 board however you like. Nobody sees it but you.

  2. 2

    Take turns calling

    On your turn, call any number not called yet. It gets marked on every player's board, yours and theirs.

  3. 3

    Make lines

    A full row, column or diagonal is a line. Each line lights one letter of B-I-N-G-O.

  4. 4

    Five lines wins

    The first player to complete 5 lines shouts BINGO and wins the match.

Winning moves

  • Put numbers that share lines close together: a diagonal cell sits on 3 lines, the centre on 4.
  • Call numbers that finish YOUR lines. Every call also helps your rivals, so pick the ones that help you most.
  • Watch the called numbers: if a rival needs one more, think twice before calling it.
  • Your board is secret, so spread your lines out and keep rivals guessing.

Skills

Skills are on in Standard rooms, and in VS Bot and Quick Match with Skills On. Bring up to 2, usually 1 charge each, and play them on your turn before you call: a skill never ends your turn, and both can go down in the same turn. Each card has a number that belongs to you until you play the card, so rivals can't call it (Nullify's stays open). Casual has no skills, so pure strategy decides.

  • Wild Daub

    The number on the card is marked on your board right away.

  • Double Call

    Calls the card's number for everyone, then you still make your normal call.

  • Ghost Call

    The card's number marks only your board, and nobody can call it after that.

  • Cell Swap

    Moves the card's number to any cell you pick on your board.

  • Nullify

    Cancels a rival's skill and marks the card's number on your board.

    Practise against 10 bot levels, from gentle to ruthless.

XP and levels, quests, and season Bingo Points on the leaderboard (with a linked wallet). No betting, ever: nobody loses anything when you win.
